Best For You

NHS Health Education England has worked in partnership with London Transformation and Learning Collaborative, mindEd, NHS England and NHS Improvement, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and Disability Matters to develop new, online resources.

They made these resources in response to healthcare staff in acute care hospitals sharing that they’d like to improve their confidence and skills around caring for children and young people with mental health needs, autism, or a learning disability.

Staff are able to rapidly access resources to develop skills and confidence, with most resources taking less than 15 minutes. They cover topics like recognising and caring for young people, safely planning and managing both physical and mental health needs, escalating risk as appropriate, and communicating effectively with young people and their families and carers.

Find out more and access the resources on the elearning for healthcare website.
