Best For You

Mental health services for young people in North West London

This page is about mental health services in North West London. If you don’t live in North West London, Best For You has information about digital mental health support for young people across the UK.

North West London has lots of different teams of people who help young people with their mental health through a mental health service. The service that’s right for you will depend on where you live and what kind of support you need.

You’ll often need to speak to your GP and ask them to refer you to a mental health service. You don’t have to do this on your own – your parents or carers (or even a friend) can speak to a GP with you. Don’t worry if you’re not sure what kind of support you need – your GP will know more about the services in your area.

There’s more information about GP services on the NHS website. You can contact some services yourself without speaking to a GP first – this is called self-referring. Each service decides whether they accept self-referrals.
